The Audi computers said the radio did not belong there and the dealers were only able to remove the component protection and activate the GPS. I'm trying to retrofit Dynaudio and need the coding for this as most of the 5F module on the Golf 7 is not yet mapped.

I believe these 5F modules have Coding that is comprised of combinations of bits and bytes, in a way that we haven't quite seen before.

In other words, in order to change one bit or byte, other interrelated ones need to be changed. We hope to have an updated version of the Long Coding Helper soon to handle that behavior, and the corresponding labels should follow. Isn't the mk60ec1 coding similar? Option of 1byte must also be changed in another byte? Originally Posted by Andy. Eric liked this post. I bought a GTI second-hand interior wiring loom and extracted the Dynaudio wiring loom from it. Dismiss Notice. Cookies Snack. Hello, Brought an Audi A7 4 days ago and I now have a problem.

Audi A4/S4/A5/S5 (8K/8T) Tweaks

The MMI display is permanently retracted and just stays there! I have turned the car off and back on again multiple times but the screen will not pop up. I have left the car overnight and tried again but no luck.

I have also pressed the button to bring the display out and done a 3 button reset of the MMI multiple times and the fault remains. Has anyone got any ideas? JackoSep 22, B5NUTSep 23, Thanks alot for the advice, its still under warranty so I might take it to an Audi garage.

JackoSep 27, They may perform the update as part of the fault diagnostics or just ask them to update the MMI system to the latest version. B5NUTSep 27, Thanks for the reply, I suppose I'll have to wait and see what they say. I have got a genuine VCDS cable turning up on Tuesday, is there a possibility that it would be fixable with that once I've scanned the car?

Update - Audi can't fit the vehicle in for another 2 weeks. When the car was off and door locked it was drawing 5A which seemed a bit much. So I then pulled the Infotainment Centre Console fuse which is 5A and the Amp draw went down to negligible - so it seems like thats the issue. Anyone got any ideas from here? I'm going to leave the fuse pulled until the dealership have a look at it to stop me having to jumpstart it several times a week!

JackoOct 4, If you put the fuse back in and do a full scan of the car and post it up here we may be able to say what the fault is.

B5NUTOct 5, JackoOct 6, The "cannot be reached" or "No communication" messages is typical of a problem with the fibre optic loop that connects the MMI system together. Either a plug has come loose, the fibre cable has become crimped, or a fuse for one of the modules has gone.

Every module has to be connected to the fibre cable, and all must have power. Any one not working can interrupt the fibre communications bus. Most of the electronics are in the boot, on the left hand side behind the side panel, you can look there to see if there are any loose fibre connections. The check the fuse panel for any blown fuses. There is a way of testing the fibre cable, using a short fibre loop, you can remove a module and loop the fibre cable back on itself. Can get quite complicated, so waiting for the dealer may be your least frustrating option
